Monitoring Pedestrian Rail Crossings with Computer Vision AI
Sensing Feeling uses Intel Geti software to accelerate training of AI models for automated pedestrian sensing solutions at railway crossings.
Pedestrian incursions into railway crossings are a dramatic safety issue and point of liability for rail infrastructure operators. Automated sensing solutions that use computer vision (CV) to address these issues have been hampered by the low-quality images from decades-old cameras at crossings that are prohibitively expensive to replace. Using Intel Geti software, Sensing Feeling is able to overcome the challenges of poor-quality images and train computer vision AI models that could help a UK rail operator detect and deter trespassing incidents on the railway.
